Eye Doctor, Parel, Mumbai. Instruments Sterilization

It is extremely important to us surgeons, specially those in private practice, to have a very

good knowledge about microbiology, structure of an operating theater,   ways of maintaining it,

techniques of autoclaving  and cleaning of instruments.

I am going to publish on my website series of power point presentations which were presented

at this year’s KOSC (Karnataka Ophthlmology Society Conference) under the banner of

RATIONALIZING OT PRACTICES – WHAT EVERY SURGEON SHOULD KNOW

on Nov 8, 2014

OT session KSOC 2014

This power point lists all the topics, their speakers and their background.

The second power point elegantly tells us how to maintain our instruments and

various ways of sterilizing them

This photo depicts Indian women in their traditional dresses.

Here the occasion is Diwali on Nov 5, 2010 and that is why one lady has lit up tiny fires on oil lamps.

The idea is to please the god of wealth who is also supposed to be a lady dressed in similar dress.

The fact that it doesn’t work (otherwise why would so many be so poor) does not discourage them.

As Dan Ariely points out, we are predictably irrational
